272 There are Shortcuts in Smithing Too!

A breath of frosty air spewed out from Jiang Fei's mouth. However, the upgraded version of Rapid Frostburst added a tinge of blue to the otherwise white mist. It seemed to have grown much stronger now!

The equipment in Jiang Fei's hand immediately took shape!

    Rainbow Blade (Double-Handed Sword, Excellent)

    Physical Attack +782

    Strength: +15

    Attack Power: +8%

Equip: Grants Strengthened Strike. Your attack has a 10% chance of dealing an additional 50% damage!

    Level Requirement: 30

Unfortunately, Jiang Fei was unable to capture the glint of light in his first attempt. Therefore, he only obtained the normal Excellent grade blade.

"That's just too fast!" Jiang Fei murmured. Isabella handed him the next set of ingredients. He handed the crafted Rainbow Blade over to Isabella for her to stow into the storage.

    *Ding! Smithing failed!"

In the second attempt, Jiang Fei could not even use Rapid Frostburst in time. By the end of smithing, the ingredients for the blade had already turned into a pile of rubbish!

Jiang Fei could not help it. Even if he was now a true Divine Blacksmith, his smithing would not succeed at a 100% rate. However, compared to other Professions, Jiang Fei's success rate was already scraping the sky.

His basic success rate on the interface was already 50%. Coupled with his additional Luck, if Jiang Fei were to craft Normal grade equipment, his success rate would be over 80%! Even when smithing an Excellent grade equipment, Jiang Fei already had more than 50% success rate now!

    *Ding dong*

As Jiang Fei continued smithing, sets of ingredients gradually disappeared from his hands.

After about an hour, Jiang Fei was able to smith thirty-one sets. The extremely high success rate surprised even himself!

However, the thirty-one equipment were all of the Excellent grade.

After practicing for an hour, he was still unable to capture the light!

"This is so difficult! My eyes can hardly even follow the light, let alone capture it! I need an eyedrop!" Jiang Fei complained.

"It is alright. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Everything starts off hard. You just need more practice. How could there be so many shortcuts in life?" Isabella said consolingly.

    "Eh? Shortcut?"

Although Isabella had not implied anything else in particular, Jiang Fei had perceived her words differently!

"Bella, let's go! Follow me somewhere!" Jiang Fei tugged Isabella along as he ran outside.

"What's the matter?" Isabella was suddenly dragged out of the blacksmith's shop for no reason.

Jiang Fei summoned the Juvenile Skygliding Dragon and took to the air with Isabella behind him. This time, he was not focused on enjoying the softness on his back. Instead, he was focused on riding the Juvenile Skygliding Dragon towards the guild's storage!

"Do you have any potions for increasing Spirit?" Jiang Fei sent the same message to Herb Box, Smart Tomato, and Six Fans.

"I have not comprehended it yet!" Herb Box replied.

"Not for now. If you need me to, I could ask around!" Smart Tomato replied nearly one second later.

"I have it!" Six Fans gave Jiang Fei a pleasant surprise. All the while, Six Fans had been using a lot of money to create potions from various herbal ingredients. However, he produced nothing useful except for some lame potions. If not for Jiang Fei's strong support, Rosette Rose would have stopped supplying him with resources!

"Where are you? I will send someone over to get it from you!" Jiang Fei was delighted.

"xxx, xxx." Six Fans sent Jiang Fei his location.

"Big Brother Bear, head over to xxx,xxx to get the potion for increasing Spirit from Six Fans. Please send it over to the guild storage!" Jiang Fei gave the order to Big Brother Bear as he continued to steer the Juvenile Skygliding Dragon to land next to the guild storage.

That was right. Jiang Fei had come out to look for equipment and potions which increased his Spirit. Spirit not only raised a player's Health Points and Mana recovery speed, the Healing Power of a Healer class, it even improved the sensing and observing abilities of a player slightly. Although it was not a very significant improvement, it was the only way Jiang Fei could take a shortcut, apart from using some rare items!

After all, Jiang Fei had a Profession which allowed him to wear any type of protective armor. Now that he did not need to battle, there was no issue with mixing up armor sets, as long as he could accumulate enough Spirit!

After much deliberation, Jiang Fei finally retrieved a set of Cloth Armor from the guild storage. These were all equipment which the Cleric sisters had left behind from the guild. Although the levels of the equipment were very low, the Spirit attributes made up for it!

Having equipped the Cloth Armor set, Jiang Fei's various attributes decreased drastically. However, his Spirit attribute had increased by more than a hundred and thirty points!

"Young master! This is the potion you wanted!" Right then, Big Brother Bear was panting as he had just rushed over to the guild storage. He handed the bottle of potion to Jiang Fei. Although this young fellow was already Level 30, he was still relying on his own two feet to travel, as he spent all his money on buying horses for the younger sisters.

"Alright!" Jiang Fei took the potion and nonchalantly glanced at it. As soon as he set his eyes upon it, his eyes widened.

    Awakening Pill (Potion, Fine)

Use: Increases your Spirit by 30 points, and slightly enhances your observation and sensing abilities. Effects last for 5 minutes!

"D*rn! I can't believe it. Luck is on my side!" Jiang Fei exclaimed gleefully. He could not believe that the potion not only increased his Spirit Points by 30; it even directly improved his observation and sensing abilities!

The potion was a divine artifact to Jiang Fei, but it was the market's trash. For most players of the Healer class, 30 increased Spirit Points did not increase their Healing Power significantly. Moreover, the effects of the potion only lasted for 5 minutes. Using them in a prolonged battle would cost way too much. Therefore, no one even bothered buying them.

"That's great! Even if you're only capable of making this potion, I would be more than happy to keep you around!" Jiang Fei said as he laughed. After all, with the aid of this potion, he would have greater chances of success at creating high-grade equipment!

Thereafter, Jiang Fei sent another message to Six Fans. He asked Six Fans to craft more of the Awakening Pill.

"Is this potion useful to you?" Six Fans asked, confused. He was nearly losing confidence even in himself. Due to the lack of resources in the past, he had practically never succeeded in crafting anything. Ever since he joined Empyreal Dragon, and received Jiang Fei's tremendous support, he had acquired enough herbal ingredients. As such, even with his low success rate, he was able to produce something successfully. However, Six Fans had never thought that he would create a bunch of useless potions!

Even if he sold all these potions, he could not even recover one-tenth of his costs of producing them. Therefore, when Jiang Fei asked him to craft more of the Awakening Pills, he was in a state of disbelief!

"That's right! Keep it up! I am counting on you!" Jiang Fei laughed as he spoke.

After abruptly hanging up, Jiang Fei brought Isabella back to the blacksmith's shop and took out the Awakening Pill. There were thirty pills in each bottle, which was similar to the potions that came in sets of thirty. This was designed to reduce the uptake of space in his backpack.

After changing into the equipment which increased his Spirit, and having swallowed a single Awakening Pill, Jiang Fei immediately felt that he had become much more aware of his surroundings. As Jiang Fei received another set of ingredients from Isabella, he started smithing once again!
